Words and Delivery ExerciseThis is an exercise about painful words and how they are used. People who want to participate are asked to identify words which are painful to them in at least some situations, such as slurs or insults. They are then asked to describe how the words are used and how they are perceived. The delivery of the words is also looked at, since the meaning will change depending on the delivery. If a word is delivered with hate or anger, it will elicit one kind of response, but if it is delivered with kindness or affection, it will elicit another. |
